This Week in Biology (Jan 24-28)

 In Biology, Scholars Prep Science - 7th Grade

Dear Parents and students,

This week students will complete their PowerPoints for the science fair and stem fest.  They will present their science fair projects this week and some will move on to the District Fair  Please remember that presentations cannot be made up.  If they do not present on the assigned day (Jan 27th) they will be disqualified from the district fair.  You can find all the information for the Science Fair and the Stem Fest here:

Notes and Practice: 6.13 Predation
Read; 6.14 Competition
With a partner, create a 1-5 minute video pretending you are Steve Irwin or another explorer. Choose a species to talk about. Make sure to talk about the biome, climate and ecosystem the creature lives in. If you are good at editing, show video footage or pictures of the creature and its ecosystem as part of the video.

Notes and Practice: 6.15 Symbiosis
Read: 6.16 Succession
Give 3 real life examples of symbiosis and 3 examples of succession. Explain the relationship of the organism to its host or environment.
