Dear Parents,

This week the students took their semester finals and finished the first draft of their science fair/STEM research papers. The final was very difficult but the students rose to the challenge.

Science Fair Update:
Students will have time in class to work on their boards and papers, but they need to complete their science experiments and their STEM projects over the break.  Check out our science fair website for due dates, important links, and templates:

Biology Workbook 10.2  Critical Reading

Tuesday
5.22  Origin of Species
5.23  Coevolution
250 words Essay
Compare the following ideas:  convergent evolution, parallel evolution, and coevolution.  What makes them different?  How viable are each of these ideas?  Give examples of each.

Wednesday
5.24  Macroevolution
5.25  Animal Evolution
Illustrate and explain the difference between microevolution and macroevolution.  Draw a diagram to illustrate both with labels and explanation.

Thursday

Just as a reminder, students cannot make up labs if they are absent, but they can take detailed notes and complete the practice sets for full credit.
