This week we will explore animal behavior.. How much of animal and human behavior is instinctual and how much is learned?  The debate continues.

Here is our class schedule for this week:

10.1  Animals
Notes and Practice: 10.2  Animal Classification
Project: 200 words.  What makes animals different from plants? Are there examples of creatures that are difficult to classify into one of these categories?  Why is this?

Thursday
10.4  Innate Behavior
10.5  Learned Behavior
Notes and Practice:  10.6 Social Behavior
Project: The debate over innate and learned behavior in animals is a complex topic.  Research the controversies over this topic and write 150 words on your findings.

Friday
10.7  Cyclic Behavior
Notes and Practice:  10.8  Reproductive Behavior
