This Week in Biology (April 26-30)
Dear Parents and students,
We are now entering the final stretch of the year. Only 4 weeks left! But this also means that students may start to dream of summer vacation. So let’s all make an effort to stay focused and end strong! Parents please encourage your students to finish well. Remember that all missing work can still be completed. They can earn that A if they want to!

Project: Explain how animals are classified as vertebrate vs invertebrate. Are there species that are difficult to classify as one of these? Why? 200 words
Thursday
12.6 Fish
12.7 Fish Reproduction
Notes and Practice: 12.8 Fish Classification
Project: Choose a fish species that you find interesting. Diagram the species’ anatomy and classify it from kingdom to species. Make sure to explain why each classification is justified. 50 words.
Friday
12.10 Amphibian Structure and Function
12.11 Amphibian Reproduction
Notes and Practice: 12.12 Amphibian Classification
Project: Illustrate and Diagram the internal structure of a frog (We will dissect a frog on Monday)
