This Week in Biology (Feb 22-26)

Dear Parents and students,

We will be studying viruses and viral diseases this week.  Viruses are the hot topic these days.  It is important that our students understand the basics about viruses so they are prepared!  This season has taught us how seriously we should take this subject.  Our students will be the next generation of doctors, scientists and biologists.   I believe they are going to be a generation that achieve incredible advancement in the biological sciences.

Monday

Tuesday
Read: 7.12  Virus Origin
Read: 7.13  Virus Replication
Notes and Practice: 7.14  Viral Disease
Project:  Research a viral disease. Illustrate the virus that is responsible for this disease.  Explain how the disease is transmitted, what the symptoms are, and how it is treated.

Wednesday
HALF DAY: ILP’s and  VIRUS Kahoot!

Thursday
Read: 7.15  HIV
Read: 7.16  Virus Control
Notes and Practice:  7.17  Viruses in Research

Friday
UNIT 7 Group Practice Test
