This Week in Biology (Oct 19-23)

In Biology, Scholars Prep Science - 7th Grade

Dear Parents and students,

There was a lot going on this past week with homecoming.  70’s, 80’s, and 90’s days reminded us all of the past. The coolest part may have been the Delorean that showed up to take the students back to the future.  It was a reminder of a time when technology was not as prolific or advanced as it is now.  The students really have no idea how amazingly privileged  they are to have the knowledge of the world accessible to them at any moments notice.  The internet has revolutionized learning.  The Biology students constantly use technology to do research.  I remember when we were limited to the resources in our library!

Here is our class schedule for the week:

Read 3.9  Human Chromosomes

Notes and Practice:  3.10  Genetic Linkage

Genetic Linkage Investigation

Read 3.11  Mendelian Inheritance

Notes and Practice: 3.12  Genetic Disorders

Notes and Practice: 3.13  Biotechnology

All work is due Friday by 3:30 PM
