This Week in Physics (Sep 21-25)

 In Physics

Dear Parents and students,

We had  whirling centripetal machines spinning all around the classroom this week and no one got hurt!   The students did well.

This coning week we will begin our debates and essays over gravity.  We all know it exists, but what is it and how does it work?  Do we really know for sure?  Newton, Einstein, and other major physicists do not always agree!

Here is our class schedule for the week:

Centripetal Force Lab Day 2

Read and Practice:  5.4  Orbital Motion
Orbital Motion Lab

Read and Practice:   5.5  Kepler’s Laws of Planetary Motion
Orbital Motion Lab Day 2

Read and Practice: 5.3  Newton’s Universal Law of Gravity
Gravity Essay day 1:
Explain Newton’s Universal Law of Gravity in your own words.  200 words

Read and Practice: 5.6  Einstein’s Theory of Gravity
Gravity Essay day 2:
Explain Einstein’s theory of gravity in your own words. 200 words

Instructional videos for each day are found in your CK-12 reading.
All Practices must be completed with at least 80% mastery to be accepted.
All work is due Friday by 3:30PM
