This Week in Physics (Sep 8-11)

 In Physics

Dear Parents and students,

This past week the students presented their Newton Projects.  Several of them had very creative projects.  This next week we will be studying projectile motion.  The students will need to bring in materials to build a catapult. It needs to have an adjustable launch angle.  They are free to make this out of any available materials they have at home.

Here is our class schedule for the week:

No Class Monday

Read: 4.1  Gravitational Force and Inclined Planes
Notes and Practice:  4.2  Projectile Motion for an Object Launched Horizontally
Projectile Lab
BRING IN MATERIALS TO BUILD A CATAPULT TOMORROW

Continue Projectile Lab

PRACTICE ONLY (No Notes) 4.3  Projectile Motion for an Object Launched at an Angle
Project:  Build a catapult that can adjust the launch angle.  Bring in your own materials.

Catapult Lab handout (Attached in projects)

Instructional videos for each day are found in your CK-12 reading.
All Practices must be completed with at least 80% mastery to be accepted.
All work is due Friday by 3:30PM
