This Week in Biology (Sep 8-11)
Dear Parents and students,
We had a lot of fun today. The students wrote and sang songs about chloroplasts. It quite possibly could have been more fun for me than them to be honest.
I am so glad we are able to be in class now. Next week we will continue photosynthesis and explore the complexities of the Calvin Cycle. The Calvin Cycle is almost as fun as singing in front of everyone, but it does have it’s moments. Student’s beware. Haha!
Here is our class schedule for the week:
No Class Monday
2.21 Photosynthesis
2.22 Calvin Cycle
Calvin Cycle worksheet
2.23 Photosynthesis Summary
Finish Calvin Cycle Worksheet
2.24 Chemosynthesis
Chemosynthesis Project
2.25 Aerobic vs Anaerobic Respiration
2.26 Cellular Respiration
Respiration Project
Which form of respiration is the most effective at energizing a life form: aerobic vs anaerobic respiration? Create an experiment that will demonstrate which method is most effective. Make sure to follow the scientific method. This is hypothetical. You will not perform this experiment.
Instructional videos for each day are found in your CK-12 reading.
All Practices must be completed with at least 80% accuracy to receive credit.
All work is due Friday by 3:30 PM
