This Week in Aviation Aug 3-7

Dear Parents and students,

We had a wonderful first 2 days!  It was such a pleasure to see all the students.  We have a great group of students this year and I am excited to see them grow. This week we will jump head first in aviation by designing a heavy lift rocket!  Your student may need to pick up a few inexpensive items at the store to complete their project if they do not have them laying around the house.  Please let me know if you need assistance.  We will have many projects in this class as we go through the year.

Here is our class schedule for the week:

1A1
Bellwork:  How has aviation changed the world forever?

1A2
Bellwork: Look at the Lesson 2A Student Activity 2 (Heavy Lift Rocket).  Who will gather the supplies to build your project tomorrow?  You will build this in class, but because we are online one person will build while the others give input.
Project: Lesson 2A Student Activity 1:  From the Earth to the Moon (Attached in Classwork)

1A2 DAY 2
LOOK AHEAD* Project:  Lesson 2A Student Activity 2:  Heavy Lift Rocket DAY 1 (Attached in Classwork)

1A2 DAY 3
Project:  Lesson 2A Student Activity 2:  Heavy Lift Rocket DAY 2 (Attached in Classwork)

1A3
Bellwork: List five careers in aviation and/or aerospace and include a brief description of what they think the job duties would be for each one.
Project:  Lesson 3A Student Activity 1: Aviation Careers (Attached in Classwork)
