This Week in Physics Aug 3-7

 In Physics

Dear Parents and students,

We had a wonderful first 2 days!  It was such a pleasure to see all the students.  We have a great group of students this year and I am excited to see them grow.  This week we will be exploring unit conversions and vectors.  Parents, sometimes when we have a math problem I will give the students the solution and then have them explain how to get there.  No they are not cheating.  The answers are provided on purpose!

Here is our class schedule for the week:

Monday
Notes and Practice: 1.2 Scientific Method
Project:  DESIGN AN EXPERIMENT (attached)

Tuesday
Notes and Practice: 1.3  Scientific Measurement
Project: Unit Conversion Lab (attached)

Wednesday
Notes and Practice: 1.4  Math Tools for Physics
Project: Scientific Notation Project (attached)

Thursday
Notes and Practice: 1.5  Resolving Vectors into Components
Project: Component vectors worksheet (attached)
Answers are provided. Explain how to get to the answers.

Friday
Notes and Practice: 1.6  Vector Addition
Project: Mathematical Vector Addition Worksheet (attached)–
Answers are provided. Explain how to get to the answers.  Complete every other problem.

Instructional videos for each day are found in your CK-12 reading.
All work is due Friday by 3PM
