This Week in Physics April 14-17

 In Physics

Dear Parents and students,

It is definitely long enough to officially miss you guys!   So many of our students are doing exceptionally well in their classes.  Thank you parents and students for your excellence!

We have begun our unit on electric circuits and electricity.  I am really excited to see the students’ projects for this unit.  Students will be creating design blueprints but will not be required to build their circuit projects since they will be doing this from home.  But for those of you who love to design and build, feel free to go for it!  I would love to see your projects!

Here is our class schedule for the week:

17.1  Energy Transfer in Electric Circuits
Complete Practice  – try to score 100%

17.2  Controlling Current in Electric Circuits
Complete Practice  – try to score 100%

17.3  Series Circuits
Complete Practice  – try to score 100%

Circuits Project Day 1
Design a machine or small device that uses a combination of parallel and series circuits, a motor, and a light.  Create a blueprint for the device showing the wiring, the transfer of energy, and explaining how it works. Upload the blueprint.  You can attach images to the assignment.

Have a wonderful week!
